Offering flexibility has always been a way to go at AmEx, even prior to the pandemic executives only spent one week called the “meeting week” in the office – a week with purpose.
Considering that majority, 75% of people prefers hybrid working this is the model the organization is adapting to, however when it comes to hybrid, the company only requested: come in with purpose.
Come to the office to meet other people and have face-to-face conversations. Flexible work arrangement and showing trust is not only productive but also offers better work-life balance, hence helps in talent retention.
It might not work for every organization but it certainly works for AmEx.
